195DESCRIPTION OF POSITION To assist the high school in office activities so as to provide the best educational services to students and families.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESBe responsible for clerical needs of administrators.
Maintain a variety of office files and records.
(Example POs, Check Request, Inventory Forms, calendars, attendance)General office and receptionist duties, including answering the phones, greeting and helping parents, teachers, students, and staff members.
Accept deliveries coming into the building and direct them to the appropriate area.
Complete all office tasks as assigned (internal).
Gather documents as requested, scan, email and prepare folders and packets.
Update when there is a new hire:
staff lists, mailboxes, phone/intercom list, etc.
Provide assistance to other office personnel as required.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Maintain student records as needed.
Be proficient in eSchool.
Working EnvironmentThe usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands:
occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; and some fine finger dexterity.
Generally the job requires sitting, walking, and standing.
This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
MARGINAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMarginal duties of this position include the following.
Employees in this position perform some or all of the following tasks.
Other duties may be assigned.
Attends in-service training.
Attend and prepare for staff meetings.
Assists on campuses as needed.

Education and/or
Experience:
HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior successful experience working as administration assistant strongly preferred.

Ability to effectively present information and respond effectively to questions in one-on-one, small group situations to students, parents and other school staff.
Ability to verbally respond to common inquiries from students, parents and staff.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and governmental regulations.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions to practical situations such as budgets.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in varying forms and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to problem solve and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Computer Skills:
General knowledge of computer usage and ability to use, e-mail, internet software and word processing software.
Ability to proficiently use the following program strongly preferred:
Google Suites and Microsoft.
Ability to type accurately and proficiently.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Ability to delegate responsibilities and meet timelines.
This work occasionally requires working non-standard hours.

Certificates as determined by the District.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
